About me

Umm... About me... What can I tell you about me? I am a typical female, in a year going to be 40 (SCARY!!!) and wondering what have I done with my life up till now. Am I just taking space in this world or have I contributed to the world in any way? Well, I have reproduced two human beings to maintain the population of humans on Earth if that can be called a contribution. And I am trying to make them into good human beings (... now that can surely be called contribution). So other than seeing to it that the human race continues, what more have I done? Have I found the meaning of life? Surely running through the daily mechanical mundane chores and a job for making a living cannot be life. Life needs a reason, a passion to make it worthwhile and approaching mid life, have I found my passion? Is origami my passion? I have a logical mind with an artistic flair and origami fits my taste very well. It both excites and satisfies me at the same time. It makes me feel alive. When I am doing Origami, I am totally absorbed and engrossed in the task like meditation. But I have to steal time to do it. My husband feels deprived when I give time to Origami and my children genuinely need my time. So I am longing for the time when I will be able to devote my time endlessly to origami to my heart's content without guilt. And currently I have only tried works and folds of great artists. One day I would like to be able to create my own designs, write a book or books on origami designs and earn name and fame in this area. Dreaming of that day in the future. That's something about me.
